An Open Letter
Dear Friends and Relatives and Neighbors,
I ask, “What makes me insane? What makes me racist? What makes me, in your mind, hateful? What in what I say makes it necessary for me to be “dealt with”? After all the years some of you have known me and known my love, tolerance, generosity, kindness, and even given the shirt off my back for you and/or given you my last dollar, why do you publicly call me names? Did disagreeing with The Propaganda Machine so easily sway you to believe I am your enemy?”
Will you watch the following video? I do not know. Your name calling of we, whom you know are not those names, indicates you will not watch the video because of who Oleg is speaking to…….and that group has effectively been demonized.
I don’t want to change your mind. I just miss you. I miss the openness and respect we had for each other; even when we did not share the same opinions. I miss you pre-Obama. I never thought you would call me insane, intolerant, a terrorist, a racist, a violent person. Perhaps somewhere along the line you decided that my disagreeing with you is name-calling and so you are merely name-calling me in return. Please go back and look at the latest Facebook discussion; where did I call you names or put you down for your thoughts? I did not. Like I said, I miss you.
Your Friend, Relative, Neighbor You Have Betrayed. (Author Unknown)
Oleg Atbashian, a writer and graphic artist from the former USSR, is the author of Shakedown Socialism, of which David Horowitz said, “I hope everyone reads this book.” In 1994 he moved to the U.S. with the hope of living in a country ruled by reason and common sense, appreciative of its freedoms and prosperity. To his dismay, he discovered a nation deeply infected by the leftist disease of “progressivism” that was arresting true societal progress. American movies, TV, and news media reminded him of his former occupation as a visual propaganda artist for the Communist Party — a job he reluctantly held, as he knew that no intelligent person would take such art-by-numbers agitprop seriously. Oleg is the creator of a satirical website ThePeoplesCube.com, which Rush Limbaugh described on his show as “a Stalinist version of The Onion.” His graphic work frequently appears in the American Thinker.

“You need only reflect that one of the best ways to get yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases which our founding fathers used in the great struggle for independence.” Charles Austin Beard
